Disappointing loss at the Aussie Open Final after a promising start. It was like she just shut down. Up to 3 again in the world and soon to be 2 with Kvitova not defending her points in Paris.

Maria received $1,150,000 for being the runner up which brings her total career prize money to $17,793,327. The 9th Highest of All Time.
