I can't believe how the US cream over recent Pink singles considering how they ignored her for years. Same with Britney.

No gonna lie. Worried about No Doubt. Settle Down should be a lot higher by now.

Are you sure? If I'm not wrong There You Go, Most Girls and the singles from Misundaztood era did well on radio. The only era she was completely ignored by the radio was during Try This but it was expected, the singles were terrible.

The US ignored Who Knew with it only making 118. Stupid Girls peaked at 14 and quickly fell based on respectable first week sales. The album opened with over 100k and fell quickly too. All this in 2006. The project quickly sunk as did Try This (deservently so in that case). The whole period from the end of Mizzundastood to the near end of I'm Not Dead flew under the radar in the US until WK and U and Ur Hand finally caught on despite them being hits for over a year in most other countries. They re-energised IMD's album sales and made it chart again on the Top 200.

In fact until she performed WK over a year later (Summer 2007) on American Idol it entered the Billboard Hot 100 and took a while to peak at 9 with U and Ur Hand just ahead of it it. It was also used in a promo for some axed tv show. I can't remember the name of it and it starting doing well leading to downloads and the American Idol invitation. The song was then resent for radio adds after being ignored the first time it was sent out (April 2006)

It wasn't until So What that she released a monster monster hit in the US. It was her first solo number 1 in the US. It was So What that took her to the top again with sales and radio play. Everything since that got decent radio play leading to most of her singles going Top 40. But there was a period she was ignored.

Sorry Gary, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. And I know the situation with Who Knew, it's actually pretty impressive she managed to make it a top ten hit more than a year after its official release. Things like that doesn't happen everyday on music business. However, I still think that song deserved a better position, top 3 at least, it's so damn good!

Nothing to be sorry about! I'm Not Dead is my favourite Pink album. Not 1 bad song on it. I always found Funhouse overrated. Mizzundastood was a good album but bar the singles and Lonely Girl, there wasn't much else on there.
