Re: TAYLOR SWIFT - 1989 THREAD
Speaking to the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine, Swift said: 'I feel like I wasn't ready to be friends with (Kanye) until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me.
'I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along ... And then Kanye and I both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I've accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid's doing.'
She owes a large portion of her success outside the US to what he done that night. He was another too she obsessed with - interviews, writing songs and performances.
Re: TAYLOR SWIFT - 1989 THREAD
Not just outside the US. Also in the US, a lot of people sided with her because at the time not only was she extremely likable and seemed very humble and down to earth, but also Kanye has also been a douchebag so when he did that to sweet little Taylor Swift, of course, she took advantage of that and milked it to the max.

Re: TAYLOR SWIFT - 1989 THREAD
going into the arena on the outside there were 5 giant tour busses with her picture on it for people to take pictures with which was really cool.
when I came to show my initial thought [from watching online videos] was that im going to see a rock like concert so I will not need to charge my phone to take video.
little did I know none of videos on youtube were just able to catch what she was cooking because of how massive the stage was.
the production is HUGE
she was definitely channelling Britney, Madonna & Katy with this one
and I can definitely say that she outdone it!
_____________________________________
every seat in the arena had a cool clear bracelet taped on to it. the bracelet is connected with the production and it glows and shines exactly the colors and way they programmed it to based on beats and songs.... making the audience glow and be part of the production.
now they are still working if you tap them. very cool.
she opened with 'welcome to new york' and audience was shining with white lights. the audience LOST is.
I have not heard so much screaming since the first time ive seen Britney back in 2008.
audience participation was INCRIDIBLE
the entire arena sang all her songs at the tops of their lungs it was like church
the only time I've seen something remotely close to that was Madonna's 'like a prayer'.
Taylor was super sweet, on point, amazing live vocals, great movements and the production with all the dancers and props and glowing outfits was completely on point.
tons of pyro, lasers, smoke, fire, strobe lights. everything!
Cara was on screen a lot telling a bunch of stories about taylor in between songs
it was just great. best tour EVER !
and I heard a song I didn't hear before called 'I know places' which I think Is single worthy.
that makes me like all 12 tracks meaning its in my top 2 favourite albums ever
her meet and greets are free btw
they pick 50 people for her before the show starts
and they come to chat and hang out with her backstage at the end of the show

Re: TAYLOR SWIFT - 1989 THREAD
Glad you had a good time Ashley. Karma and thanks for sharing. I like "I Know Places".
Did Cara do the runway part for "Style"? I know she is in Toronto shooting Suicide Squad.

Re: TAYLOR SWIFT - 1989 THREAD
I went to the Edmonton show so Cara wasn't there
I went to the second show the security was very heavy because during the first show the day before a fan jumped on her platform during 'bad blood' and grabbed her leg trying to pull her down and she got really scared
