Thats my take on it too.

Also worth noting that Kirsten Dunst just after a Golden Globe & Emmy nomination & her most high profile movie (The Beguiled) role since Spiderman 3 has been completely snubbed by US magazines. For her last Sofia Coppola movie she scored the September cover of Vogue US (2006) & for this Sofia Coppola movie she scored nothing. Unless she scores Allure. What a pity.

Someone on TFS just posted that Janet Jackson was never on the cover of any edition of Vogue. Yet here we are. And it won't be long before Anna starts using her too.

Allure definitely seem to have a target audience in mind this year. Interesting to see how it is working for them sales wise. 5 of the 7 covers this year have been of women of colour.
