Re: MTV VMAs 2012 Nominations
These have turned into an absolute joke. I thought last year was bad when Adele got all those nominations for sitting on her fat ass on a chair for 4 minutes but this year takes the biscuit (no pun intended) altogether
Beyoncé for best female video? Sorry but why? That video was probably the worst video on the "4" Shitology Video Collection. Nicki Minaj? Her walking along a beach wearing a huge ass diaper? If you turned the "music" off it was basically porn with ugly people.
What about Lana Del Rey? Born to Die was an amazing video which everyone thought was great as was National Anthem. Yet they go with the crowd favourites. Beyonce getting any nominations in any categories is nothing short of favouritism and a hope that she will be there. While other more deserving artists that have put out great videos have been overlooked or put in categories that aren't even televised at the show itself. One Direction nominated purely for the pre-teens and the Peter Files of the world as that video consists of them walking up and down a beach while making special hand signs and waves whilst lip synching badly.

The VM.. what? I yawned so hard my jaw clicked.
This show stopped being exciting ten years ago.

I can't. Gary, when you're mad, you're hilarious!
Well, it's a shame what these awards have become. They used to be so exciting but now they're a joke. Nice to see Bad Girls and Born To Die getting some nominations though. Lana totally deserved a nomination for Video of the Year. Sigh.
@ best choreography category. What a joke. Gone are the days when videos with REALLY good choregraphies were nominated: Beat It, Thriller, Rhythm Nation, Straight Up, Baby One More Time, etc.
