She just isn't a likable person but was tolerable when she put out good music but it has been a while now since that happened.
Re: CHRISTINA AGUILERA - LOTUS THREAD
Christina Aguilera and boyfriend Matthew Rutler have been collaborating professionally! “Matt has come a long way from being a production assistant on Christina‘s movie Burlesque,” a source exclusively tells JustJared.com. “He’s now a songwriter, working on new tracks for her new album. People will be surprised by the sound they’ve put together.”

Re: CHRISTINA AGUILERA - LOTUS THREAD
I can see her label washing their hands off her completely if this material isn't up to scratch or it doesn't do well.
They spent a fortune on Bionic with big name producers and then sent her back to the studio a few times to record stronger songs which obviously she failed to do. I don't even need to mention the epic failure of Bionic, the tour being canceled and the underperformance of Burlesque. The Greatest Hits undersold. Then of course B2B only done over 4million following up Stripped which sold 13million and spawned hit single after hit single (but that was all the way back in 2003/2004).
They are probably pissed off with her taking so long between albums, handing over subpar material and then it flopping. Not to mention having to deal with her as a person.

The right time for her to release something was right after Moves Like Jagger and during the beginning of the second season of The Voice.
But then she didn't do it, what she did instead was look like a complete bitch on the show because she had some beef with one of Adam's contestants.

I am really worried about her. She's a great artist with an amazing voice and very good performing skills (especially in songs like Hurt and Beautiful where you can really feel what she's saying), so it's a shame things aren't working for her in the past few years.

The third season of The Voice premieres September 10th. If she doesn't tackle the opportunity to release something during this period AND change her attitude this season to how she was the first season, then she can forget about a comeback.

Re: CHRISTINA AGUILERA - LOTUS THREAD
It's been two years and two seasons of "The Voice" since Christina Aguilera's last studio album, but new music from the veteran pop star may be arriving before summer's end.
A source tells Billboard that Aguilera is working hard on the follow-up to 2010's "Bionic," and that a new single is expected to be released in early August. The club banger was produced by Swedish pop hit-maker Max Martin, and its chorus is built around the line, "All I want to do is what you wanted."
Martin -- best known for producing hits by Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry, among others -- has yet to helm a single for Aguilera.
Meanwhile, duets with Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green, Aguilera's fellow coaches on NBC's "The Voice," are apparently in the works for the singer's forthcoming album as well. Last April, Green revealed that he and Aguilera were indeed working on a follow-up to their first collaboration, "Nasty," which surfaced online last year after failing to make the final track list of Aguilera's "Burlesque" soundtrack in 2010. Aguilera's last collaboration with a "Voice" co-star, as a featured vocalist alongside Adam Levine on Maroon 5's 2011 single "Moves Like Jagger," netted the pop star her fifth chart-topper on the Hot 100, and her first No. 1 in 10 years.
Released through RCA Records in June 2010, "Bionic" has sold 308,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The set failed to produce a hit single for the singer -- its highest-charting cut, "Not Myself Tonight," peaked at No. 23 on the Hot 100. By comparison, the soundtrack to "Burlesque," to which Aguilera contributed eight songs, has moved 593,000 copies since its November 2010 release, according to SoundScan.
In March 2011, the singer signed on as a coach for "The Voice," which wrapped its second season on NBC in May. The reality competition will return for its third season this fall.

Woohoo. I expect only the best from her, if this time she works her ass off and releases something fresh and not so over the top I think she will do well. I really want a new era like Stripped, that era was fantastic. One of the best pop albums of 2000s.
