Marion through to Quaterfinals of Paris

Marion made it to the final of Paris before being defeated by Angelique Kerber. Great match. Marion fought hard.

Marion Bartoli heads into a 3R match at Doha after easily defeating Anabel Medina Garrigues 6-2 6-0. She will now face Tsvetana Pironkova from Bulgaria for a place in the quaterfinals.

Marion had received a bye to second round being a Top 8 seed.

She will face Lucie Safarova who has eliminated 2nd Seed Caroline Wozniacki and 14th Seed Svetlana Kuznetsova on her way to the Quaterfinals.

Marion proceeds to the Semifinals of Doha after a close match with Lucie Safarova. She reached the Semis last year in Doha too.

She will face Samantha Stosur in the Semifinals for a place in the Finals. She currently leads the head to head with Stosur 3-2 winning their last 2 battles in straight sets.

Marion was forced to retire during her match after suffering a thigh injury. This gives Samantha Stosur a path to the final against Victoria Azarenka.

Marion is out of Dubai in the first round. Her leg still looks injured. Hopefully she is fit again for Indian Wells in March.
